Some people like to say that Thursday is the new Friday, but what exactly are you supposed to do on a Thursday night?
UCONN Stamford and Vida Social magazine offer one option this week. This Thursday, they will host an opening reception for an art exhibition featuring ten Latino artists, including Jose Acosta, Claudio Altesor, Ed Bianchi, and others. The exhibition is intended to highlight artwork by Latino artists in Fairfield County that “reflects personal and family experiences living in the United States,” according to a flyer for the event.
The weeknight shindig will include food provided by sponsors Tacos Guadalajara, De Maya Restaurant, and Quechua Restaurant and a performance by Afro-Uruguayan folklorick group Manos del Candombe.
